Earned NWCA Scholar All-America honors during his first season with the team...Went 22-10 during the season, competing exclusively at 174 pounds...Won seven matches by technical fall...Earned his first collegiate win on November 2, defeating Elorm Nevis (Wabash) by decision, 4-1...Secured first collegiate technical fall on November 17, besting Aidan House (SW Michigan), 17-2...Won five consecutive matches from November 17-23 and 18 of his first 22 matches to begin his career...Placed second at Adrian Invite, third at UAA Championship and RIT Invite, and fourth at BW Invite...Won consolation bracket at Albion Open and open bracket at Bob Del Rosa Open.

Was a four-year member of the Medina Highland High School wrestling team, serving as captain his senior year...Coached by Dave Habat, Todd Hill, and Tim Maxworthy...Won 104 career matches...Named to All-Suburban League First Team as a junior and senior...Placed at district championship four times...Qualified for state championship once...Graduated magna cum laude...Received Academic-Athlete Award as a senior...Also played football in high school.
