Watch the NCAA Division III Volleyball Selection Show on Monday at 1 PM

Fans of the 16th-ranked Case Western Reserve University volleyball team are encouraged to tune into the 2024 NCAA Division III Volleyball Selection Show on Monday, November 18. The pre-taped show will air at 1 p.m. on ncaa.com.

The 2024 NCAA Division III Volleyball Championship will feature 64 teams with 44 automatically chosen by winning their conferences. The remaining 21 at-large teams will be selected by rankings in the NCAA Power Index, new for the 2024 season.

In the final NPI rankings released by the NCAA on Sunday evening, CWRU ranked 22nd overall and 10th among the teams that did not earn automatic qualification. This means they will very likely be chosen to the tournament for the second consecutive season.

During the selection show, the full 64-team bracket will be revealed, including the eight regional host sites for the first three rounds of the championship. Last season, the Spartans traveled to Holland, Michigan, for the regional hosted by Hope College.

In the competitive University Athletic Association, six teams will likely reach the postseason. Joining CWRU and league champion Emory will probably be WashU (11th overall), Chicago (28th), NYU (29th), and Carnegie Mellon (34th). The Spartans placed fourth at the conference tournament after a 5-2 record in league play during the regular season.

Case Western Reserve finished the regular season with an overall record of 24-7 with four of the losses coming to teams ranked higher in NPI than CWRU.

Fans can view the full bracket at https://www.ncaa.com/brackets/volleyball-women/d3/2024 following the selection show. More information about the Spartans' potential postseason opponent and location will be posted on athletics.case.edu when it is known.
