Spartans in Action during Day 2 of NCAA Championships

Each of the six Case Western Reserve University swimmers competed during the second day of competition at the 2018 NCAA Division III Swimming and Diving Championships in Indianapolis, Indiana.

During the morning preliminaries, senior Drew Hamilton swam a time of 4:01.76 in the 400-yard individual medley to place 21st in the event.

Also in action on Thursday, the women's 200-yard freestyle relay team of senior Inez Moore, junior Suhan Mestha, freshman Caitlyn VonFeldt and freshman Vanya Ruppart placed 23rd with a time of 1:36.78. Moore, Mestha and VonFeldt also teamed with junior Alli Drohosky in the 400-yard medley relay, finishing 22nd with a mark of 3:54.18

Action at the NCAA Division III Swimming and Diving Championships will continue with the third day of competition on Friday from the IU Natatorium. Currently scheduled to compete for the Spartans during the day are Mestha (seeded 14th with a time of 56.09) and VonFeldt (seeded 23rd with a time of 56.42) in the 100-yard backstroke.
