CWRU Receives Four CSC Academic All-District Awards for Swim Dive

Four members of the Case Western Reserve University women's swimming and diving team received Academic All-District honors from the College Sports Communicators, as announced by the organization on Tuesday.

Seniors Angeli Paull and Abigail Wilkov and juniors Eliza Dixon and Claire Kozma each earned selection to the Academic All-District Team.

Student-athletes must be at least a sophomore academically with a cumulative grade point average greater than 3.50 and must have competed in at least five competitions or finish in the top eight at a conference meet to be eligible for the award. Schools are limited to four selections per team. Paull, Wilkov, and Kozma will advance to the Academic All-America ballot, with three teams of Division III Academic All-Americans released on Tuesday, April 22.

Paull helped the Spartans placed 14th in the 400-yard freestyle relay and 15th in the 800-yard freestyle relay at the 2025 NCAA Division III Swimming and Diving Championships last month. She earned a pair of All-America Second Team selections for her efforts, finishing her career with four total All-America honors after earning two at the 2024 Championships. At the 2025 University Athletic Association Championships in February, Paull helped CWRU place fourth in the 400 Free Relay and fifth in the 800 Free Relay while also finishing 14th in the 100 Free and 21st in the 200 Free as an individual. She has earned a 3.86 cumulative grade point average as a nutritional biochemistry and metabolism major and is receiving her third career Academic All-District honor from CSC.

Wilkov completed her career with a pair of national runner-up finishes in the 1-meter and 3-meter diving events. She earned All-America First Team selection in both events, finishing with seven total All-America honors across four years of competition. Wilkov became the second-ever member of the CWRU women's swimming and diving team to record two top two finishes in a career and in a single championship. She ended her career with seven All-America honors, including six First Team selections. The seven honors are tied for ninth-most in program history and her six First Team honors are third-most in program history. At the UAA Championships, Wilkov won the 1-meter dive and placed fourth in the 3-meter dive. Wilkov also received the Elite 90 Award for having the highest cumulative grade point average of any student-athlete at the championship. She has a 4.0 cumulative GPA as a neuroscience major. Last season, she was named to the CSC Academic All-America First Team, and she is a three-time Academic All-District honoree.

At the national championships, Dixon helped CWRU place 12th in the 200 Free Relay to secure All-America Second Team selection for the first time in her career. Last season, she was named to the All-America First Team after finishing eighth in the same event. Dixon was also a member of the 200 Medley Relay that earned a 23rd place national finish at the meet in March. A biomedical engineering major with a cumulative 3.65 GPA, Dixon earned her first career Academic All-District honor.

Kozma earned three All-America honors at the 2025 Championships, increasing her career total to eight. She helped the Spartans place 12th in the 200 Free Relay, 14th in the 800 Free Relay, and 15th in the 400 Free Relay. Individually, she placed 18th nationally in the 100 Fly, 32nd in the 50 Free, and 43rd in the 100 Free. She earned All-UAA honors this season in the 200 Free Relay and placed fourth in the 100 Fly, seventh in the 50 Free, and seventh in the 200 Fly. Last season, she was named to the CSC Academic All-America Third Team and Academic All-District Team. Kozma has a cumulative 4.0 GPA as a human nutrition major.

The 2024-25 Academic All-District Women's Swimming and Diving Team, selected by CSC, recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in the pool and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America program separately recognizes women's swimming and diving honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, and NAIA.

The Division III CSC Academic All-America program is partially financially supported by the NCAA Division III national governance structure to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2024-25 Division III Academic All-America programs.

CWRU placed 17th nationally out of 39 scoring schools at the 2025 NCAA Division III Championships, totaling 54.0 points across the four days of competition. The 54 points are the sixth-most by a Spartan women's team in program history and the 17th place finish is tied for fifth highest all-time.
