GROVE CITY, Pa. – The Case Western Reserve University women's swimming & diving team fell twice in tri-meet action with host Grove City College and Division II Gannon University (Pa.) on Saturday at Longnecker Pool.

The Spartans (2-4) lost to Grove City (4-3) by a score of 170-127 and Gannon (2-2), 189-90.

Junior Rebecca Pakradooni (Augusta, Ga./Lakeside) was the lone CWRU winner on the day with a first-place time of 1:00.13 in the 100-yard butterfly. Pakradooni also placed second in the 200 freestyle in 1:59.49.

In diving events, freshman Brooke Hortness (Chicago, Ill./Loyola Academy) turned in a pair of runner-up finishes with scores of 213.15 on the 1-meter board and 195.60 in the 3-meter event.

Freshman Ellie Wilson (Cincinnati, Ohio/Seven Hills) was runner-up in the 100 breaststroke (1:08.02).

The Spartans are now idle until the annual three-day Wooster Invitational in Wooster, Ohio on Thursday-Saturday, December 4-6. Day one action is set for 11:00 a.m. prelims and 7:00 p.m. finals.
