Dillione Ties for 12th in 200 Fly During NCAA Division III Championship Finale

SHENONDOAH, Texas – Case Western Reserve University women's swimming & diving junior captain Maggie Dillione (Newtown, Pa./Council Rock North) concluded her final event at the NCAA Division III Championship Meet in a tie for 12th during the 200-meter butterfly consolation finals on Friday evening at Conroe ISD Natatorium.

Dillione, who swam the ninth-quickest time in the morning preliminary (2:04.25), touched the wall in a tie for 12th with Alyssa Levine of Williams College (Mass.) in 2:04.73. The finish gave the third-year Spartan her second All-American laurel of the championship.

Last night, she touched the wall 14th in the 100 fly with a time of 56.74 to become the first CWRU female to earn All-American honors since Lauren Preyss in 2007. On Wednesday morning, Dillione swam a warm-up event and placed 44th in the 50 freestyle.
