Women's Swimming and Diving

Spartan Women's Swimming & Diving Beats NDC and JCU to Open Cleveland City Tournament

CLEVELAND – The Case Western Reserve University women's swimming & diving team defeated Notre Dame College (Ohio), 120-101, and John Carroll University, 120-98, on the opening weekend of the Cleveland City Tournament on Saturday afternoon at Veale Natatorium.

With the win, the Spartans improve to 2-1 overall in duals and will conclude the tournament next Saturday, November 9 at Veale Natatorium.

Sophomore diver Riki Drout (Cincinnati, Ohio/ Walnut Hills) won both diving events, while sophomore Rebecca Pakradooni (Augusta, Ga./Lakeside) won both the 200-yard freestyle (2:01.37) and the 100 butterfly (1:01.12).

Senior Sara Tillie (Fallston, Md./Fallston) and junior Abby Glenn (Novi, Mich./Novi) were also individual champions as Tillie won the 50 free (24.8) and Glenn the 500 free (5:25.44).
