CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Case Western Reserve University women's swimming & diving team earned a 165-110 Seniors' Night victory versus Baldwin-Wallace College on Friday evening at Veale Natatorium.
The Spartans (3-7) are right back in action tomorrow afternoon at Ohio Northern University at 1:00 p.m. in Ada.
Prior to the meet, CWRU honored its seven senior student-athletes with Lucy Bollinger (Boulder, Colo./Fairview), Taylor Dorsey (Des Plaines, Ill./Maine West), Stephanie Campbell (Highland Heights, Ohio/Mayfield), Jessica Nuhfer (Warren, Pa./Warren Area) and Laura Thompson (Pittsburgh, Pa./Mount Lebanon) on the women's side.
The Spartans opened the meet with a win in the 200-yard medley relay. The team of Campbell, freshman Brianna Cain (Perry, Ohio/Perry), Nuhfer and freshman Sarah Mastrandrea (East Amherst, N.Y./Buffalo Academy of the Sacred Heart) touched the wall in a time of 1:54.23.
Campbell also turned in first-place finishes in the 100 butterfly (1:00.03) and 100 backstroke (1:00.52).
Sophomore Maggie Dillione (Newtown, Pa./Council Rock North) was a double-winner with victories in the 200 free (1:59.11) and 100 free (54.77 seconds), while Nuhfer took first in both the 50 free (25.37) and 50 fly (28.01).
The Spartans also closed out the evening with a win in the 200 free relay as the quartet of sophomore Sara Tillie (Fallston, Md./Fallston), Nuhfer, Mastrandrea and Campbell finished in 1:41.79.
