GROVE CITY, Pa. - The Case Western Reserve University swimming and diving teams were both in action on Saturday, November 20 at a tri-meet against hosting Grove City College (PA) and Kenyon College. The men's team dropped a close meet, 147-130, against Kenyon College and also lost 192-95 to Grove City. On the women's side, Case was defeated 196-97 by the hosts and also took a loss, 162-98 against Kenyon College.

The Spartans came away with three individual winners on the men's side and one on the women's side.

In the 1,000 yard freestyle, junior Sam Geiger (Westlake, OH/St. Edward) took first-place by over 16 seconds with his time of 10:04.51.

Freshman Daniel Jacobson (Solon, OH/Solon) took first in the one meter with a score of 270.70 and again won with an NCAA provisional qualifying mark of 289.75 in the three meter.

Senior Roxanne Leyshon (Cambridge, OH/Mercersburg Academy) was a winner in the 100 yard breaststroke with her finals time of 1:10.85.

Next up for the Spartans will be the College of Wooster Invitational, starting at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 2 and continuing through Saturday, December 4.
