The Case Western Reserve University women's track and field team featured an All-American for the second time in the last three years during the outdoor season, finishing tied for 72nd in the nation at the national championship.

First-year sprinter Gianna Phipps qualified for the 2026 NCAA Division III Women's Outdoor Track and Field Championships in both the 200-meter and 400-meter dashes. She placed 20th in the shorter sprint and secured her first career All-America honors by placing eighth in the 400-meter dash on the final day of the three-day championship. Phipps became the fourth-ever runner in the history of the program to receive All-America accolades and just the third-ever sprinter to place in the top eight nationally.

At the 2026 University Athletic Association Outdoor Track and Field Championships hosted at DiSanto Field in Cleveland for the first time in 20 years, Phipps won the league title in the 400-meter dash, setting a program record with her time of 54.82 seconds. It was one of four program records she broke during the outdoor campaign, including the 100-meter dash (12.10 seconds), 200-meter dash (24.29 seconds), and 4x100-meter relay (48.26) with first-years Elizabeth Crossan and Esther Umezurike-Chukwu and senior Grace Misiunas.

Phipps was one of four Spartans to secure All-UAA honors at the outdoor championship. On the first day, junior Madison Martinez was the runner-up in the javelin throw with a toss of 35.49 meters, and first-year Anna Callo placed third in the pole vault by clearing 3.61 meters. On the track, Misiunas finished third in the 100-meter hurdles final on Sunday in 14.94 seconds to earn her second career All-UAA selection. Overall, CWRU placed fifth in the conference with 75.0 points.

Senior runner Arianna Holbrook wrote her name into Spartan lore by breaking the school record in the 800-meter run at the Harrison Dillard Twilight later in the season, finishing the race in 2:14.45.

Case Western Reserve totaled nine All-Region honors during the outdoor season with Phipps pacing the squad. She was recognized in the 200-meter dash, 400-meter dash, and 4x400-meter relay. Joining her on the relay were Crossan, first-year Samaria Benochi, and senior Melanie Taylor. Senior Ayla Grabenbauer ran the second-fastest time in program history in the 3,000-meter steeplechase (10:45.15) at the Midwest Twilight Final Qualifier to secure her third consecutive All-Region honor in the event. Callo earned All-Region recognition in the pole vault, and Holbrook was honored for her time in the 800-meter run.

Prior to the league championship, the Spartans had the third-most points at the Wooster Invitational and All-Ohio Outdoor Championships hosted by Ohio Wesleyan University. CWRU had seven All-Ohio finishes at the state meet and won four events at Wooster.

Members of the team succeeded in the classroom as well as on the track. Grabenbauer, Misiunas, Taylor, senior Julia Hluck, senior Lauren Iagnemma, and senior Madison Martinez each received Academic All-District honors from the CSC. CWRU also totaled 15 UAA All-Academic honors.
