The Case Western Reserve University women's swimming and diving team continued its recent success on the national stage during the 2025-26 season, placing in the top 25 in Division III for the third consecutive year and finishing in the top 30 for the fourth campaign in a row.
The Spartans sent eight members of the team to the 2026 NCAA Division III Women's Swimming and Diving Championships, held at the IU Natatorium in Indianapolis with four earning All-America honors. Senior Claire Kozma secured three top 16 finishes, and senior Eliza Dixon, sophomore Marina Oria, and first-year Sohalya Rawlins each earned All-America recognition. Also qualifying for the NCAA Championships were sophomore Anna Brown, junior Ava Ellis, junior Sheila Monera Cabarique, and junior Maggie Rose Rook.
Kozma finished her career as the third-most decorated swimmer in CWRU history, totaling 11 All-America honors across four seasons. At the 2026 NCAA Championships, she placed ninth in the 200 Free, 13th in the 200 Fly, and 13th in the 200 Free Relay. During the campaign, Kozma set school records in the 100 Free (50.48 seconds), 200 Fly (2:02.66), and 400 Free Relay (3:25.46). She qualified for the NCAA Championships in all four of her seasons as a Spartan.
Dixon, Oria, and Rawlins joined Kozma for the 200 Free Relay, which placed third at the 2026 University Athletic Association Women's Swimming and Diving Championships in February to earn All-UAA honors. Case Western Reserve finished third in the event for the third year in a row with Kozma and Dixon on the relay each season. Overall, the team placed sixth in the conference, recording six NCAA B cut times at the meet.
Case Western Reserve set three school records during the campaign with Kozma recording program-best marks in the 100 Free at the Spartan Invitational and in the 200 Fly at the NCAA Championships. Additionally, the 400 Free Relay of Kozma, Dixon, Rawlins, and Monera Cabarique broke the program record in the event with a time of 3:25.46 at the Spartan Invite.
CWRU had a 6-3 record in dual matches, starting the season with victories over Centre, Franklin, and Ohio Wesleyan. Following a loss to 12th-ranked Carnegie Mellon, the team responded with a victory over Division II to conclude the fall semester dual slate. In the spring, the team fell to 21st-ranked SUNY Geneseo and top-ranked Kenyon before ending the year with wins over Oberlin and John Carroll.
The Spartans found success in the classroom as well with 16 members of the squad receiving UAA All-Academic honors. Kozma received Academic All-America First Team honors from the College Sports Communicators, becoming the first student-athlete in program history to earn three Academic All-America honors.
