Four members of the Case Western Reserve University women's swimming and diving team received Academic All-District honors from the College Sports Communicators, as announced by the organization on Tuesday.
Seniors Eliza Dixon and Claire Kozma, junior Sheila Monera Cabarique, and sophomore Marina Oria were honored for their achievements in the classroom and in the pool.
Student-athletes must be at least a sophomore academically with a cumulative grade point average greater than 3.50 and compete in 75 percent of competitions or finish in the top eight at a conference meet or participate in a national championship to be eligible for the award. Schools are limited to four selections per team. Dixon, Kozma, and Oria were all selected by the CSC Academic All-America Committee to advance to the Academic All-America ballot, with three teams of Academic All-Americans released on Tuesday, April 28.
Dixon earned the third All-America honor of her career when she helped the Spartans place 13th in the 200 Free Relay at the 2026 NCAA Division III Women's Swimming and Diving Championships. The 2025-26 Academic All-District Women's Swimming and Diving Team, selected by CSC, recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in the pool and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America program separately recognizes women's swimming and diving honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, and NAIA.
The Division III CSC Academic All-America program is partially financially supported by the NCAA Division III national governance structure to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2025-26 Division III Academic All-America programs.
Overall, the Spartan women's swimming and diving team tied for 23rd in the team standings with 21.0 points, placing in the top 25 for the third consecutive year and scoring at the national championship for the seventh time in a row.
