Members of the Case Western Reserve University men's and women's track and field teams set three school records at the All-Ohio Division III Outdoor Championships hosted by Ohio Wesleyan University in Delaware, Ohio, on Friday and Saturday with four Spartans putting up top national marks at the Bison Outdoor Classic hosted by Bucknell University in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania, on Saturday.

Overall, the CWRU women's team placed third out of 14 teams with 95.50 points. OWU won the state championship with 173.75 points. The Spartan men's team finished fourth out of 14 schools with 72.0 points with Baldwin Wallace taking first place with 151.5 points.

Spartan Notes

• Phipps also set the meet record in the 200-meter dash, besting the previous time of 24.33 seconds run by Mount Union's Mary Mahoney in 2013. It is also the fourth-fastest time run by a Division III sprinter this season
• Holbrook fell 0.05 seconds shy of the program record in the 800-meter run. Her time ranks 12th in D3 this season
• Grabenbauer had the second-fastest time in program history in the steeplechase
• Crowley added the fourth-best time ever by a Spartan in the 1,500-meter run
• Benochi and Stipanovich both recoded the sixth-best times in program history in the 400-meter dash

The Spartan track and field teams will make the short trip to Berea, Ohio, for the Sparky Adams Invitational on April 17 and 18. It will be the last meet for the teams before the conference championship.
