The Case Western Reserve University men's and women's track and field teams competed at the Bob Shannon Invitational hosted by Denison University in Granville, Ohio, and the Jud Logan Light Giver in Ashland, Ohio, on Saturday.
The CWRU men's team scored 104.0 points, the most out of 12 teams. The Spartan women placed second out of 12 teams at Denison with 94 points, just one point behind the Big Red.
Senior hurdler Grace Misiunas matched her program record in the 60-meter hurdles at Denison, recording a time of 9.15 seconds to take second place in the event.

Spartan Notes
- Crowley fell less than half a second short of the school record in the mile run, settling for the second-best mark in program history
- Holbrook recorded the third-best mark in the 800-meter run in Spartan lore
- First-year Esther Umezurike-Chukwu ran the seventh-fastest time in the 60-meter dash (8.14 seconds) and ninth-best time in the 60-meter hurdles (9.87 seconds) by a Spartan
- Geoffrion jumped the fifth-longest by a CWRU student ever in the long jump
- Callo had the eighth-best mark in program history in the pole vault
Up Next
The Spartans will compete at a trio of meets next weekend. A contingent of distance runners will travel to Allendale, Michigan, for the GVSU Big Meet on Friday, February 13 and Saturday, February 14. CWRU will also compete at the Crimson & Gold Invite hosted by Oberlin College on February 13 and the Indoor All-Ohio Championships hosted by Otterbein University on February 14.
