Case Western Reserve University junior Matthew Bezuneh set a program record in the 60-meter dash as the men's and women's track and field teams hosted the Ed Finnigan Invitational on Friday night at the Veale Center in Cleveland for the team's final meet before the 2026 Indoor University Athletic Association Championships.

Bezuneh bested the previous record of 6.96 seconds which was set by Juan Perez in 2023 and tied by first-year Antonio Sidoti at the opening meet of the 2025-26 season. Overall, the Spartans won 12 events at the unscored meet, including Bezuneh's triumph in the event.
