The Case Western Reserve University men's and women's track and field teams traveled to the Lou Higgins Center Fieldhouse in Berea, Ohio, on Friday evening for the Dr. Taraschke Team Challenge hosted by Baldwin Wallace University.
The Spartan women's team placed second out of five teams with 73 points, while the Case Western Reserve men's team finished third out of five teams with 52 points. CWRU won six events at the invitational and totaled 16 finishes in the top three.

Spartan Notes
- Junior Matthew Bezuneh missed the school record in the 55-meter dash by 0.01 seconds, finishing the final in 6.54 seconds
- Misiunas recorded the third-best time in program history in the 55-meter hurdles
- Holbrook ran the fourth-fastest time ever by a Spartan in the mile
- Hodge put up the fifth-quickest time in program history in the 55-meter hurdles

The Spartans will be on the road for a pair of Ohio meets next weekend, heading to Ashland for the Jud Logan Light Giver on Friday, February 6 and Saturday, February 7 and going to Granville for the Bob Shannon Invite hosted by Denison University on Saturday.
