Last Week's Recap
#8 Women's Soccer (2-0-1)
- Defeated Heidelberg 1-0 on Tuesday afternoon in Tiffin, Ohio, on a goal by senior Ceci Dapino
- Earned 1-1 tie with third-ranked Christopher Newport in Delaware, Ohio, in a battle of Top 10 teams
- Won 6-0 over Ohio Northern on Sunday afternoon in Delaware, Ohio, with Dapino and senior Jamie Goldfarb each scoring twice in the game
Men's Soccer (2-0-1)
- Won 3-0 over Oberlin at home on Wednesday night, receiving goals from junior Ohta Kamiya, junior Adam Pluszczyk, and sophomore Owen Guffey
- Tied Wooster 1-1 on Saturday afternoon on DiSanto Field with a goal from Pluszczyk in the 18th minute
- Defeated Allegheny 5-0 on Sunday at home as senior goalkeeper Bradley Winter set the program record with his 17th career shutout
Volleyball (2-2)
- Fell in four sets to Baldwin Wallace in Berea, Ohio, on Wednesday night
- Responded with a five-set, come-from-behind victory over host Muskingum to open the Muskie Invite on Friday night
- Defeated Mount St. Joseph in four sets before falling to 15th-ranked Marietta in three sets to close the invitational
- Seniors Kalli Wall and Amanda Ngo were named to the All-Tournament Team
Football (0-1)
- For the second consecutive week, the team faced multiple weather delays in a road non-conference game
- The Spartans eventually lost to Wabash 38-28 in a contest that had to be moved locations due to multiple delays
- Making the first start of his career, junior quarterback Sam DeTillio completed 13-of-19 passes for 176 yards while running the ball 17 times for a team-high 40 yards and two touchdowns
Women's Tennis
- Continued the fall portion of its season with action at the Kenyon Invitational hosted by Kenyon College in Gambier, Ohio
- CWRU faced competition from Kenyon, Denison University, and Carnegie Mellon University, going 20-15 in singles matches and 11-7 in doubles play
- Sophomore Yasemin Bilgin won all five of her matches at the invite
Men's Tennis
- Opened the fall portion of its season at the Youngstown State Invitational in Youngstown, Ohio, and the Denison Invitational in Granville, Ohio, on Saturday and Sunday
- Over the course of the two events, the Spartans went a combined 43-22 (.662) in singles matches and 12-13 (.480) in doubles contests during their opening weekend of play
- The Spartans competed against Division III schools Denison University, DePauw University, Carnegie Mellon University, and Kenyon College, Division I schools Youngstown State University, Duquesne University, and Xavier University, and Division II school Edinboro University
