Case Western Reserve University senior Casey Hishinuma was named the ITA Senior Player of the Year for the Central Region, based on his achievements during the 2024-25 campaign.
The award honors the senior student-athlete who had the best year among all student-athletes in his class.
Hishinuma was named to the All-University Athletic Association First Team for his play at no. 1 doubles and to the Second Team for his efforts as the squad's fifth singles player. Earlier in the season, he secured a spot on the ITA Indoor National Championship All-Tournament Team. Hishinuma leads the team in both singles and doubles wins this season, going 28-7 in singles play and 25-9 in doubles matches. He is currently ranked 13th in Division III in doubles with teammate Anmay Devaraj, and the duo has been selected to compete in the NCAA Doubles Championship later in the week.
For his career, Hishinuma is second in program history in singles victories with a 91-24 record and is 47-17 in doubles matches during his time as a Spartan.
CWRU (28-5) will be competing in the NCAA Division III Championship semifinals against top-ranked Claremont-Mudd-Scripps (31-3) on Tuesday night at 8:00 p.m. ET.
