For the second consecutive season, the Case Western Reserve University women's swimming and diving team's 200 Free Relay earned All-University Athletic Association honors on the second day of the 2025 UAA Championships hosted by Emory University at the Madeleine Jude Brown Aquatic Center in Atlanta on Thursday.
The relay of junior Claire Kozma and seniors Kelly Vann, Simone Vale, and Gabriella Chambers placed third in a school-record time of 1:33.85. The quartet bested the previous record of 1:33.86 set by Kozma, Vann, Chambers, and Eliza Dixon at last year's championships when CWRU also placed third. The time was also an NCAA B cut.
To end the day, the 400 Medley Relay of Vale, Kozma, Chambers and senior Kate Menzer set a school record and recorded a B cut time in 3:49.10. The same four Spartans set the previous record of 3:49.19 earlier this season. CWRU placed fifth in the event.
Senior Abigail Wilkov had the best individual finish by a Spartan on the day, placing fourth in the 3-meter dive with a final score of 437.45. She had the second-best score in the preliminary round of 455.20. Senior Jocelyn Schechter placed 13th in the event with a score of 401.95, and first-year Anna Berry finished 25th with a tally of 260.75.
Four Spartans qualified for finals in the 50 Free. Chambers and Kozma reached the A Final with the senior tying for fifth place in 23.66 seconds and the junior finishing seventh in 23.72 seconds. She had a prelims time of 23.62 seconds. In the C Final, Vale placed 18th overall in 24.08 seconds, and first-year Marina Oria finished 21st in 24.21 seconds.
Menzer placed 16th in the 200 IM, qualifying for the B Final with a time of 2:06.94. She finished the event in 2:08.29.
In the 500 Free, sophomore Ava Ellis placed 22nd in 5:06.10 in the C Final.
The UAA Championships continue tomorrow with the 400 IM, 100 Fly, 200 Free, 100 Back, 100 Breast, and 200 Medley Relay. Preliminary races begin at 10 a.m. with finals scheduled to start at 5:30 p.m.

- After two days of competition, CWRU is in fifth place in the team standings with 350.5 points. Emory leads with 699 points, followed by NYU (667), Chicago (561.5), and WashU (380). Trailing the Spartans are Carnegie Mellon (298 points), Rochester (243), and Brandeis (176)
- So far at the conference championships, Case Western Reserve has recorded three B cut times and set two school records
