The 12th-ranked Case Western Reserve University women's tennis team swept a pair of home matches on Sunday at the LaTuchie Tennis Center in Stow, Ohio, defeating 29th-ranked Denison University 9-0 and Allegheny College 9-0.
With the two wins, the Spartans improved to 11-3 overall. The Big Red fell to 9-4, and the Gators dropped to 15-3.

The Spartans started the first match of the day with a sweep of doubles play. Sophomores Hannah Kassaie and Lily McCloskey, ranked eighth in the Central Region, bested Sarah Robertson and Sydney Cianciola, ranked 10th in the Central Region, 8-5 at first doubles. Sophomore Radha Patel and first-year Katalina Wang followed with an 8-4 win at second doubles over Monique Brual and Caroline Lopez. Finally, at third doubles, sophomore Anna Kan and senior Nina Hoog defeated Kendall Schrader and Peyton Oda 8-6.
Kassaie, ranked 29th nationally and eighth in the Central Region, did not drop a point at first singles, besting Cianciola, ranked 49th nationally and 13th regionally, 6-0, 6-0. Patel clinched the win for the Spartans with a 6-0, 6-4 victory over Brual at third singles.
Wang followed with a 6-4, 6-4 win over Lopez at fourth singles, and Kan added a three-set win over Oda at fifth singles, 4-6, 6-2, 10-8. McCloskey, ranked 39th nationally and 10th regionally, also won in three sets, defeating Robertson 3-6, 7-5, 10-4 at second singles. To wrap up the match, first-year Elsa Syed bested Caroline Kittle in three sets at sixth singles 6-7 (5-7), 6-3, 10-5.

CWRU continued its winning ways in doubles play in the evening match against Allegheny. Kan and Hoog started with an 8-0 win over Allison Riley and Lauren Passarelli at second doubles. At first doubles, juniors Pallavi Goculdas and Katherine Wang prevailed 8-3 over Ella Swan and Jean-Arlette Legrand. To complete the doubles sweep, senior Shreya Ramani and first-year Asha Shukla defeated Sabrina Rodriguez and Maria Lounder 8-5 at third doubles.
Junior Chloe Ku started singles play by not dropping a point at fifth singles, besting Noelle Kidd 6-0, 6-0, and first-year Ellior Rose clinched the match at sixth singles with a 6-1, 6-0 win over Riley.
Shukla bested Rodriguez 6-1, 6-1 at third singles to make the score 6-0, and Hoog followed with a 6-0, 6-1 win over Lounder at fourth singles. Patel defeated Swan 6-2, 6-0 at first singles, and Ramani ended the match with a 7-6 (7-1), 6-2 win over Legrand at second singles.
Following a week off from competition, the Spartans will host archrival Carnegie Mellon on Saturday, April 8 at 12 p.m.
