The Case Western Reserve University women's swimming and diving team's 200-yard freestyle relay placed 18th on the second day of 2023 NCAA Division III Swimming and Diving Championships at the Greensboro Aquatic Center in Greensboro, North Carolina on Thursday.
Sophomore swimmers Gabriella Chambers and Angeli Paull and first-year swimmers Eliza Dixon and Claire Kozma competed for the Spartans in the relay, turning in a time of 1:35.38 in the prelims. Kozma led off the relay with a 50 Free of 23.79 seconds, followed by Dixon swimming the second leg in 23.82 seconds. Paull swam in the third leg in 24.35 seconds, and Chambers anchored the relay with a time of 23.42 seconds. The Spartans missed the consolation final by 0.13 seconds.
The NCAA Championships continue tomorrow, with Chambers, Paull, Dixon, and Kozma racing in the 800 Free Relay and sophomore diver Abigail Wilkov competing in the one-meter dive.
