Kassaie, ranked 13th nationally at the end of last season, defeated Carnegie Mellon's Sarah Yang, ranked 12th nationally. Wang won a hard-fought 6-2, 4-6, 10-8 match over Felicity Kolb of John Carroll and also picked up a doubles win with first-year Asha Shukla.

Returning to the courts for the first time in over a year, senior Shreya Ramani went 2-1 in doubles play with junior Pallavi Goculdas. Goculdas, Kan, Ku, and sophomore Radha Patel each picked up singles wins.

First-year Katalina Wang earned her first collegiate doubles win when she paired with Patel to defeat Indiana's Joanna Stralka and Idoia Huerta, while Shukla earned her first career singles win over Wooster's Otilia Oita.
