Junior swimmer Abby Halsdorfer and sophomore swimmer Ethan Chuang competed on Wednesday on the first day of the NCAA Division III Swimming and Diving Championships at the IU Natatorium in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Halsdorfer, swimming in the 500-yard freestyle, placed 37th with a time of 5:03.76. She qualified for the event with a time of 5:01.45 at the 2022 University Athletic Association Championships and was seeded 33rd.

Chuang raced in the 200-yard individual medley, finishing 47th with a time of 1:53.02. To qualify for the event, he swam 1:52.72 at the Magnus Cup and was seeded 47th.

Halsdorfer and first-year diver Abigail Wilkov will represent CWRU on the second day of competition on Thursday. Wilkov will compete in the one-meter dive and Halsdorfer will swim in the 200 Free. Prelim action starts at 10 a.m. with finals beginning at 6 p.m.
