The Case Western Reserve University men's cross country team finished third out of 13 Division III teams and seventh out of 28 teams overall at the All-Ohio Championships at the Elvin R. King Cross Country Course in Cedarville, Ohio on Friday afternoon.

The Spartans finished the race with 56 points among Division III teams, placing behind only John Carroll University (31 points) and Otterbein University (53 points). Miami (Ohio) won the overall event with a score of 41, with the Spartans registering a tally of 196 in the overall standings.

Junior Jack Begley led the Spartans on Friday, finishing the 8K course in a time of 25:29.3 to place second among the 108 Division III runners and 14^th overall out of 243 total competitors. He was followed by first-year Aidan Nathan, who notched a time of 26:26.6 to finish ninth in Division III and 38^th overall. Senior Logan Singer finished 45^th overall and 12^th in Division III with a time of 26:34.1, and senior Trey Razanauskas added a 48^th-place finish overall and 15^th among DIII runners with a mark of 26:38.9. Rounding out the Spartans' scorers on Friday was junior Parker Straight, who finished 61^st overall and 18^th in Division III with a time of 26:53.9.

CWRU had an additional three runners in the championship race at the All-Ohio Championships, with junior Joe Jaster placing 30^th in DIII and 96^th overall with a time of 27:39.6, senior Alex Loeper finishing 111^th overall and 37^th in Division III with a time of 27:59.7, and junior Robert St. Clair placing 123^rd overall and 43^rd in Division III with a time of 28:22.3.

John Carroll's Alex Phillip was the individual winner in the men's 8K championship race, both overall and among Division III competitors, with a time of 24:52.1.

Later in the day, junior Jacob Conard was the team's top finisher in the open 8K race, placing 34^th out of 233 finishers with a time of 27:51.7.

The Spartans will host their annual Alumni Meet at the Squire Valleevue Farm in Hunting Valley, Ohio on Saturday, September 25, before returning to intercollegiate competition at the Mike Woods Invitational in Mt. Morris, New York on October 2.
