Senior Jessica Liu and sophomore Madeleine Paolucci advanced to the semifinals in the doubles draw as the first rounds of the 2018 ITA Cup got underway Thursday afternoon at the Rome Tennis Center in Rome, Georgia.

Liu and Paolucci, the No.-4 seed, bested Bethel University's Maggie Riermann and Grace Riermann 7-6 (7), 6-1 to move onto Friday's semifinals. Liu and Paolucci will square off against either top-seeded Victoria Yu and Kristina Yu of Wesleyan University or Melissa Strome and Danna Taylor of Carnegie Mellon University at 3:00 p.m.
