No. 27 Spartan Women's Tennis Sweeps OWU

CLEVELAND – Playing at home for the final time this season, the No. 27 nationally ranked Case Western Reserve University women's tennis team earned a 9-0 victory versus Ohio Wesleyan University on Sunday at Carlton Courts.

The Spartans improve to 8-7 in dual matches with all seven losses coming to fellow nationally ranked schools. The loss drops the Battling Bishops to 4-10.

Freshman Kennedy Mulholland (Pepper Pike, Ohio/Beachwood) led the way for the Spartans with a 2-0 day as CWRU did not drop a set throughout the entire match.

Mulholland and freshman partner Jennifer Lowe (Overland Park, Mo./Blue Valley Northwest) won at second doubles, 8-0, before Mulholland won at fourth singles, 6-3, 6-3 over Ohio Wesleyan's Alex Webb.

CWRU now travels to Chicago for three matches over the weekend of Friday, April 11. The Spartans are scheduled to play University Athletic Association foes, No. 12 University of Chicago and No. 10 Washington University (Mo.), as well as Coe College (Iowa).
