CLEVELAND – The Case Western Reserve University men's swimming & diving team posted a 2-1 record quad-meet action versus Gannon University (Pa.), Grove City College (Pa.) and Kenyon College on Saturday at Veale Natatorium.
The Spartans defeated the two Pennsylvania foes, Gannon (172.5-106.5) and Grove City (222.5-67.5), but fell to defending national champion Kenyon (244-54). Saturday's performance puts the Spartans at 5-2 overall in duals this season.
The team's top performer was senior diver Daniel Jacobson (Solon, Ohio/Solon), who won both the 1-meter and 3-meter diving competitions. Jacobson posted scores of 302.75 and 312.3, respectively.
In addition, sophomore Aaron Tam (Doral, Fla./Ronald Reagan Doral Senior) was an individual champion in the 200-yard butterfly with a time of 1:55.60.
The Spartans are back in action at the three-day College of Wooster Invitational on Thursday-Saturday, December 5-7.
