In the finale of the three-game series, the Case Western Reserve University baseball team lost to Roanoke College 9-0 on Tuesday afternoon at Salem Memorial Ballpark in Salem, Virginia.

The Spartans fall to 3-4 on the season while the Maroons improve to 6-4.

In the first inning, Case Western Reserve threatened to score, getting two runners on base with one out. However, a pop up and fly out prevented the team from taking an early lead.

Roanoke scored four runs in the fourth inning to take the lead and added three in the sixth inning.

CWRU was unable to solve pitcher Will Turner (1-0), who allowed one hit and two walks in a complete game effort. 

First-year center fielder Logan Andreyko went one-for-two and reached base on a walk.

The Spartans will look to bounce back as the team travels to Gil Coan Field in Brevard, North Carolina to face Brevard College on Thursday. First pitch is scheduled for 1 p.m.
