ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Playing in the final match of her career, senior tri-captain and midfielder Deena Levey (Columbus, Ohio/Bexley) scored with just over 17 minutes remaining in regulation to lift the Case Western Reserve University women's soccer team to a 2-1 comeback victory in the 2012 regular season finale at University Athletic Association foe University of Rochester on Saturday evening inside Edwin Fauver Stadium.

The Spartans conclude the season at 8-6-4 overall and 2-4-1 in the UAA, while Rochester ends at 3-13-1 overall and 0-7 in the Association.

The first half featured few scoring opportunities for both squads as the teams combined for just five shots with a quartet coming from Rochester.

Following the halftime intermission, the Yellowjackets got on the board first and broke the scoreless tie at the 53:34 mark when Hayley Engel scored via an assist by Heather Allco.

Undaunted, Case knotted the match in the 66th minute when sophomore forward Christine Straka (Prospect Heights, Ill./Saint Viator) scored on a cross from classmate Jessie Sabers (Dublin, Ohio/Dublin Jerome) on the left end line. The score was Straka's second of the fall and Sabers' second helper.

The Spartans moved ahead for good just under seven minutes later when Levey recorded her second score of the season with an unassisted blast from 20 yards out in the 73rd minute.

In net for the Spartans, freshman goalkeeper Megan Romelfanger (Fort Wayne, Ind./Homestead) collected three saves to conclude her season with a record of 5-4-3. Rochester's Bridget Lang (3-13-1) tallied a pair of stops in the loss.

For the match, the Spartans outshot Rochester, 14-9, including a 13-5 mark in the second stanza, and held a 6-1 advantage in corner kicks.
