Case Western Reserve University senior Ceci Dapino was honored for her success on the field and in the classroom on Thursday, earning Scholar All-America Third Team honors from the United Soccer Coaches.
Dapino becomes the fourth student-athlete in program history to be named a Scholar All-American since the program began in 1997 following former Spartans Aniya Hartzler (2023, First Team), Merry Meyer (2022, Second Team), and Kendra Simmons (2011, Collegiate Third Team).
This season, Dapino was named to the United Soccer Coaches All-America Third Team, All-Region First Team, and Scholar All-Region First Team. She was also honored with placements on the All-University Athletic Association First Team and College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team.
Dapino tied for the team lead with 27 points in 20 games, scoring 11 times and recording five assists. She tied for 94th nationally in points and 92nd in goals, starting every contest for the Spartans, who ended the season ranked 11th in Division III. Dapino finished her career with 20 goals and 14 assists in 75 games (67 starts) across four seasons. She scored twice against Ohio Northern and Rochester this season and recorded a goal and an assist in the same game three times.
A biology and statistics double major with a 3.97 cumulative grade point average, Dapino is a two-time inductee in the CWRU Van Horn Society, which honors juniors and seniors with at least a 3.80 cumulative GPA.
Case Western Reserve reached the second round of the NCAA Tournament for the fifth consecutive season in 2025, finishing the year with an overall record of 14-2-4.
