Box Score NEW CONCORD, Ohio– The Case Western Reserve men's soccer team stayed unbeaten for the year following a 0-0 double-overtime tie at fellow unbeaten Muskingum University on Tuesday, September 7 at Muskingum Field.
With the tie, the Spartans move to 2-0-1 overall and will return to action this Friday and Saturday, September 10-11, at the Ohio Northern University Invitational in Ada. Muskingum moves to 3-0-1 overall.
The Spartans outshot Muskingum, 24-9, and held a 7-5 advantage in corner kicks.
Junior goalkeeper Ben Yabrow (Marietta, GA/George Walton Comprehensive) recorded one save in his 110 minutes in net. Muskingum's Hunter Huffman recorded three saves.
Case opens weekend tournament action versus Kalamazoo College (MI) on Friday at 3:00 p.m. The Spartans close the week versus the tourney host ONU at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday.
