Last Week's Recap
#6 Men's Tennis (2-1, 2-1 UAA)
- Placed second at the University Athletic Association Tournament last weekend at Sanlando Park in Altamonte Springs, Florida
- Defeated 20th-ranked Brandeis 4-1 in the quarterfinal and fifth-ranked Carnegie Mellon 4-1 in the semifinal before falling to top-ranked Chicago 4-1 in the championship match
- The Spartans, who finished the season with a record of 26-8, placed in the top two in the conference for the fifth year in a row
#15 Women's Tennis (2-1, 2-1 UAA)
- Finished fifth in the UAA Tournament last weekend at Sanlando Park in Altamonte Springs, Florida
- Fell to eighth-ranked Emory 4-1 in the quarterfinal before sweeping Rochester 4-0 and 26th-ranked NYU 4-0 in the fifth-place match
- The Spartans won the doubles point in all three matches, going 7-0 in doubles play in Florida
Baseball (2-2, 2-2 UAA)
- Split a four-game series with 14th-ranked WashU, dropping the first two games 12-2 and 13-6 before responding with a 6-5 win in 10 innings and a 6-4 victory in the series finale at Nobby's Ballpark
- Senior Jasiah Harris had a walk-off single to cap the first game of the doubleheader on Sunday
- Prior to the Sunday contests, the team honored its seven graduating players: Sean Donahue, Thomas Downs, Harris, Austin McGowan, Archer Stankowski, Matt Trout, and Eli Westrick
Softball (1-2, 1-2 UAA)
- Lost a pair of games to Brandeis on Saturday, 8-4 and 21-5, before an 11-1 five-inning victory in the series finale on Sunday at Mather Park
- Junior Karen Potts hit a pair of home runs and totaled seven RBI in the three-game set
- Prior to the games on Saturday, the team honored its three graduating members: seniors Elizabeth Berry, Tara Fritscher, and Devanghi Misra
Men's and Women's Track & Field
- Both teams placed fifth at the UAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships on Saturday and Sunday at DiSanto Field in Cleveland
- Sophomore Donovan Crowley totaled 23 points, including a UAA title in the 1,500-meter run, the first conference championship of his career
- First-year Gianna Phipps won the 400-meter dash, totaling 24 points for the Spartans. She became the first CWRU women's sprinter to ever win the UAA title in the event
