The Case Western Reserve University baseball game against Washington University (Mo.) on Friday at Nobby's Ballpark in Cleveland was suspended in the top of the third inning and will resume on Saturday at noon.

The Spartans and the Bears were scoreless with one out in the top of the third, when persistent lightning strikes in the area forced a stoppage in play.

The first game of the series will resume on Saturday at noon, to be followed by a second contest. The two teams will then wrap up their four game series with a doubleheader on Sunday beginning at 10:00 a.m.
