The game between the Case Western Reserve University and Brandeis University softball teams that started on Friday afternoon has been suspended and will be resumed on Saturday, April 25 at 12 p.m. The second game of the series will follow with the finale postponed to Sunday, April 26 at 11 a.m.
The Spartans will still honor their graduating members with a Senior Day ceremony prior to the start of the games on Saturday.
The game was stopped on Friday due to inclement weather, including rain and persistent lightning, in the top of the third inning. CWRU led 2-0, scoring on a two-run single by junior infielder Karen Potts in the bottom of the second frame.
As always, further changes to the schedule are possible. Fans are encouraged to check athletics.case.edu for the most up-to-date information on CWRU athletic events.
