The Case Western Reserve University softball team defeated the Catholic University of America 10-4 on Saturday afternoon at the Catholic University Softball Field in Washington, D.C.
The Spartans improved to 3-0 to start the 2026 season, while the Cardinals dropped to 4-2 with both losses coming to CWRU.
Stats and Standouts
- Junior infielder Karen Potts scored three times, drove in a pair of runs, and had two doubles
- Sophomore outfielder Kate Coonan had her second career multi-hit game with a career-high two RBI
- Senior infielder Elizabeth Berry had two runs batted in for the second time in three games
- First-year two-way player Camryn Mclelland (2-0) had five strikeouts in five innings, allowing three runs on four hits. She also had a hit and scored a run at the plate
