The Case Western Reserve University women's tennis team continued its fall season at the Kenyon Invitational hosted by Kenyon College in Gambier, Ohio, on Friday and Saturday.

The Spartans combined to go 17-17 in singles play and 11-7 in doubles play during the two-day competition that featured players from Kenyon, Carnegie Mellon University, and Denison University.

Stats and Standouts

• Both sophomore Yasemin Bilgin and first-year Trisha Vellanki went 5-1 during the competition. They won all three of their doubles matches and each had a 2-1 record in singles matches
• Junior Kareena Sivanesan and first-years Ava Karrenbauer and Tara Markovic had 4-2 records at the invite. Karrenbauer won both doubles matches she competed in
• Senior Katalina Wang was undefeated in singles play (2-0) and added a doubles win for the Spartans
• Adding three wins for CWRU were junior Prachi Shah and first-years Atra Biria and Emma Thoms
• Sophomore Maya Brink won two doubles matches for Case Western Reserve and first-year Gabby Lee added win in singles play and doubles play

The Spartans will next travel to St. Louis for the ITA Fall Regional Championship hosted by WashU. Competition begins on Friday, September 19 and runs through Monday, September 22.
