Four members of the Case Western Reserve University women's track and field team were honored as All-Region performers for the outdoor season by the USTFCCCA on Wednesday.
Graduate student thrower Michaela Burkhauser, senior thrower Rachel Ginn, junior runner Ayla Grabenbauer, and sophomore jumper Holly Schreiber each were recognized for their performances during the outdoor season. The top five individuals in each event from each region earned All-Region honors, in addition to each of the members of a top three ranked relay team.
Burkhauser recorded the second-best mark in the discus throw in the Great Lakes Region when she won the event at the 2025 University Athletic Association Outdoor Championships with a toss of 45.06 meters. The distance was second-best in program history and just 0.05 meters shy of the school record set by Cassandra Laios in 2019. The selection was the third All-Region honor of Burkhauser's career after she ranked in the top five in both the shot put and weight throw during the indoor season.
Ginn ranked fifth in the region in the hammer throw, tossing the weight 50.61 meters to win the UAA Championship in April. Her mark, the best by a Spartan thrower this season, ranked fourth in program history. This is Ginn's first career All-Region honor.
Grabenbauer earned her second consecutive All-Region selection in the 3,000-meter steeplechase with a time of 11:00.94 at the UAA Championships. She placed third in the race to earn her first career All-UAA honor. The time ranked fourth in the region and second in program history, the fastest by a Spartan since Danielle Kulpins set the program record in 2018.
Schreiber secured her fourth career All-Region honor on the pole vault, recording a top five mark in each of the four seasons she has competed in college. She cleared 3.57 meters at the UAA Championships to place second in the event and earn All-UAA honors. The jump ranked fifth in the Great Lakes Region.
Following the conference championships, the CWRU track and field teams wrapped up their schedules with four last chance meets at the beginning of May. With no Spartans qualifying for the national championship, the teams will next compete during the indoor season in December.
