Case Western Reserve University senior outfielder Nick Harms was named to the D3baseball.com Team of the Week after leading the 23rd-ranked Spartans to a 6-1 record in seven contests last week.
This was the first time in his career that Harms has been named to the D3baseball.com Team of the Week. He is the second Spartan this season to earn a spot on the weekly honor squad after graduate student first baseman Dane Camphausen was selected on February 26.
Harms hit a team-high .531 (17-32) with 14 runs, 11 RBIs, four doubles, two triples, three home runs, two walks, and a pair of stolen bases. He finished the week with a 1.063 slugging percentage and a .571 on-base percentage. Among his highlights from the week include a three-for-five performance with four runs, three RBIs, and a home run in an 11-9 win over Ithaca and a three-for-four showing with a triple a home run, two walks, two runs, and an RBI in a 12-11 win in 11 innings against Wittenberg.
Harms is hitting .393 this season with 21 runs, 21 RBIs, five doubles, three triples, and five home runs while notching a .820 slugging percentage and a .457 on-base percentage.
CWRU stands at 10-5 overall this season. The Spartans will be back in action on Sunday, traveling to John Carroll University for a doubleheader starting at noon.
