Case Western Reserve University first-year vaulter Holly Schreiber earned University Athletic Association Athlete of the Week honors for women's outdoor field events for her performance last week.
Schreiber broke her own school record in the pole vault at the Mount Union Last Chance Meet in Alliance, Ohio, last Thursday. She cleared 3.68 meters on her third attempt to best her previous record of 3.66 meters earlier this year. Schreiber placed fourth in the event at the meet with the 30th-best mark in Division III this season.
This is her second career UAA Athlete of the Week honor after receiving the award once during the indoor season.
