Case Western Reserve University senior guard Luke Thorburn was named the final University Athletic Association Athlete of the Week for Men's Basketball after turning in a solid all-around effort during the sixth-ranked Spartans' 95-75 loss to 11th-ranked Wisconsin-Platteville in the Round of 16 of the NCAA Division III Men's Basketball Championship on Friday.

Thorburn shot five-of-six from the floor, made his only three-point attempt of the day, and converted one-of-two free throws for 12 points, his second-highest total in a game this year. He also collected a season-high eight rebounds and notched a career-best three steals in the game, while blocking one shot.

Thorburn finished the season averaging 4.8 points and 3.2 rebounds per game while shooting 57.3% from the floor. This was the first UAA Athlete of the Week honor of his career.

The Spartans ended the 2023-24 season with a 23-5 overall record.
