Three members of the Case Western Reserve University women's soccer team received accolades from the University Athletic Association, the conference announced on Monday. Juniors Jamie Goldfarb and Molly Shamah were each named to the All-UAA Second Team, and senior Sydney Schenk received All-UAA honorable mention.
Goldfarb received her second career all-conference honor after being named to the Second Team last season. Shamah and Schenk were recognized for the first time in their careers.
Goldfarb played in 15 contests in 2024, making 12 starts. She scored three times during the season with all three goals winning games for CWRU. Goldfarb tallied the game-winning goal in the team's 4-3 postseason win over Skidmore on November 16 and won games against Ohio Wesleyan and Kenyon. She finished the season with seven points on three goals and one assist. Across three seasons, Goldfarb has 20 points on eight goals and four assists, including five game-winning goals.
Shamah, who started 18 games for CWRU this season, led the team in scoring during the 2024 campaign. She found the back of the net eight times and added an assist for 17 points. Shamah scored three times in UAA play and added a goal during the team's 4-3 victory over Skidmore in the NCAA Tournament. She scored the game-winning goal in a 2-0 win over Baldwin Wallace on September 11, scoring both Spartan goals for her first career multi-goal game. In three seasons, Shamah has 23 points on 10 goals and three assists, appearing in 37 games.
Schenk started all 19 games for Case Western Reserve in 2024, ending her career with 32 starts and 62 appearances in four seasons. She scored six goals and contributed one assist for 13 points this season with two of her goals coming in UAA contests. Schenk scored the game-winning goal in a 3-2 win over Chicago on October 25 and added a score in the first round postseason victory over Skidmore which was her first career penalty kick goal. She finished her career with 32 points on 10 goals and 12 assists.
The CWRU women's soccer team ended the season with a 1-0 loss to fifth-ranked Messiah in the second round of the NCAA Division III Women's Soccer Championship. The Spartans reached the second round of the postseason for the fourth consecutive season and concluded the campaign with a record of 9-5-5.
