The Case Western Reserve University men's tennis team opened its fall season on Saturday and Sunday at the Kenyon Invitational in Gambier, Ohio.

The Spartans finished the weekend with a .641 (25-14) singles winning percentage and a .619 (13-8) winning percentage in doubles play.

Four CWRU players turned in perfect records in singles play over the weekend with sophomores Matthew Plunkett and Justin Prochnow and first-years Trey Lambright and Derek Shiffer each going 3-0. Four additional Spartan players - junior Casey Hishinuma, sophomores Rohan Bhat, Anmay Devaraj, and first-year George Kosseifi - each went 2-1 over the two days.

Prochnow completed a perfect weekend by teaming with sophomore Jackson Schuetzle to go 3-0 in doubles matches as well. Senior Sayal Dayal and Devaraj, seniors Daniel French and Yuvraj Narang, and Bhat and Kosseifi each went 2-1 during the weekend, while Plunkett and first-year Santiago Salazar Garza went 2-2.

CWRU will be back in action next weekend at the Toledo Rocket Invitational in Toledo, Ohio from Friday through Sunday.
