During the 2022-23 season, the Case Western Reserve University indoor women's track and field team set a school record and earned six All-Region honors from the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association.

Melissa Phung-Rojas, and first-year runner
Melanie Taylor earned an All-Region time in the event of 12:16.50 at the 2023 University Athletic Association Indoor Championships at Brandeis University in Waltham, Massachusetts. Phung-Rojas set a school record in the 800-meter run multiple times during the season, with her fastest time of 2:14.64 coming at the Polar Bear Final Qualifier. She earned a second All-Region honor in the event. Junior hurdler/jumper
Emily Hopkins recorded a mark of 11.46 meters in the triple jump at the Ed Finnigan Greater Cleveland Colleges Invite at the Veale Center, earning All-Region recognition for her effort.
CWRU placed fifth at the UAA Indoor Championships with 33.33 points and scored in nine events. Senior thrower
Tori Cohen (weight throw) and the distance medley relay each placed fourth at the championship meet, the top finish by Spartans in any event. Junior thrower
Adrienne Wachtman (weight throw), sophomore hurdler/jumper
Sarah Ozeki (triple jump), and the 4x400-meter relay of Kwasny, Taylor, junior sprinter
Elise Moore, and senior runner
Danielle Sarno all placed fifth in their respective events. Wachtman added a seventh place finish in the shot put, and senior vaulters
Victoria Zhao and
Shelby Cooper each earned points in the pole vault with sixth and eighth place finishes, respectively. Also earning points with seventh place finishes were Phung-Rojas (800-meter run), first-year hurdler/jumper
Grace Misiunas (60-meter hurdles), and senior jumper
Mia Vargo (high jump).
Earlier in the season, the team won the Dr. Taraschke Team Challenge at Baldwin Wallace, finishing first among eight teams with 87.5 points. CWRU won three events and recorded 22 top five finishes at the meet. The Spartans also placed third at the All-Ohio Indoor Championships, with wins in the 5,000-meter run and triple jump.
CWRU continued its success in the classroom, with five members of the team—Jackson, Phung-Rojas, Vargo, Zhao, and senior runner
Julia Kocherzat — earning Academic All-District honors from the College Sports Communicators. In addition, 28 members of the team received UAA All-Academic recognition.
