SHENENDOAH, TEXAS - Four Spartans represented the Case Western Reserve University men's swimming and diving team on the second day of the 2015 NCAA Division III Swimming and Diving Championships held at the Conroe Natatorium.
Freshman Drew Hamilton (Cincinnati, Ohio/Turpin) was first to hit the pool for the Spartans. With a time of 4:03.30, Hamilton finished 21st in the 400-IM.
Next in the pool, junior Aaron Tam (Doral, Fla./Ronald Reagan Doral Senior) finished 31st in the 100-yard butterfly. Tam stopped the clock for a time of 49.85.
Hamilton and Tam joined senior Eric Haufler (Westminster, Md./Francis Scott Key) and freshman Oliver Hudgins (Chapel Hill, N.C./East Chapel Hill) to compete in the 400-medley relay and the 200-yard freestyle relay. In the 200-yard freestyle, the group placed 21st overall stopping the clock at 1:24.89. Returning to the pool for the 400-yard medley relay the quad finished 17th overall with a time of 3:28.46.
The Spartans will return to the Conroe Natatorium on March 20 for day three of the 2015 NCAA Division III Swimming and Diving Championships where Tam will compete in the 200-yard butterfly and the quad of Hamilton, Haufler, Hudgins and Tam will swim in the 800-yard freestyle relay.
