The Spartans, 14-6 since returning from their annual spring break trip in Florida, will look to rebound from a pair of losses (7-0, 11-5) at the University of Mount Union on Monday. Case has already surpassed the team's win total from all of last season (19-25 overall), and the 20 victories to this point in 2012 mark just the fifth time in program history that the team team has reached at least 20 wins.

For the season, freshman rightfielder Gena Roberts is batting a team-best .406, including a .515 clip over the last 20 games, with team-highs of five homers and 41 hits to go along with 19 runs batted-in. Senior first baseman/designated player Lauren Wolz is second on the squad with a .383 average and has three homers and a team-best 25 RBI. Wolz is the school's all-time leader in career homeruns (23) and RBI (114), and she is just four hits away from tying Lauren Seeds' (2005-08) program record. Freshman second baseman Molly O'Brien is third on the team in hitting at .348 and second on the squad with 40 hits, while pacing the team with 26 runs scored, two triples and 14 stolen bases in 15 attempts. Sophomore shortstop Makenzie Lein is batting .295 with a team-best 11 doubles to go along with 21 RBI, while senior third baseman Kaeleen Boden is second on the team with four homers and 22 RBI.

On the mound, freshman Rebecca Taylor, a three-time UAA Pitcher of the Week, is the ace of the staff with a 14-10 record, two saves, a 2.93 earned run average, 18 complete games, four shutouts and 142 strikeouts. Taylor is approaching the CWRU single-season records for wins (17), shutouts (5) and strikeouts (151). Freshman Christina Hunger has missed the last four games due to injury and is 5-2 with a 2.45 ERA. Classmate Hillary Bunnelle has assumed Hunger's spot in the rotation and has a 1-1 record with one save in 14.2 innings of work.

Adrian has split each of its last five doubleheaders, including its most recent with Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association foe Olivet College on Wednesday. The Bulldogs won the opener, 4-3, behind a complete-game, seven-strikeout performance by senior pitcher Kelly Eberhardt, but lost game two, 10-7.

This season, Adrian is led at the plate by senior infielder Maggie Hein with a .356 batting average and 31 base-hits to go along with 18 runs and five stolen bases in five attempts. Freshman infielder Brooke Stewart is second on the squad with a .321 average and is tied with Hein for the team-high in runs scored (18). Stewart also paces the squad with six doubles and is tied for second with 14 RBI. Freshman infielder Kaitlyn Hinojosa is the only other Bulldog batting above .300 with a .319 average. Sophomore infielder Brittany Bertrand is the team-leader with 16 RBI, while senior outfielder Katrina Wotten is tied with Stewart with 14.

On the mound, Eberhardt has a team-high 20 appearances and is 9-8 with a 1.74 ERA and 91 strikeouts in 100.2 innings pitched. Sophomore Sarah Muncey (1-0/1.47 ERA), Stewart (2-1/2.33 ERA) and junior Jami Shafley (2-2/2.71 ERA) have each seen limited innings.
