CHICAGO, Ill. – Select members of the Case Western Reserve University men's and women's swimming & diving teams looked to reach or improve NCAA qualifying marks at the Midwest Invitational Last Chance Meet on Friday and Saturday, February 25-26 at Myers-McLoraine Pool.
For the women, freshman Maggie Dillione (Newton, PA/Council Rock North) improved her B-Cut time in the 100-yard butterfly and re-set her own school record with a mark of 57.41. Dillione also hit a B-Cut in the 200 fly with a time of 2:06.07.
Freshman Sara Tillie (Fallston, MD/Fallston) won the 200-yard individual medley in 2:11.69 -- missing a school-record by just .18.
In relays, junior Stephanie Campbell (Highland Heights, OH/Mayfield), senior Roxanne Leyshon (Cambridge, OH/Mercersburg Academy), Dillione and Tillie set a school record in the 200-yard medley relay with a time of 1:50.24.
For the men, freshman Nick Clyde (Ann Arbor, MI/Huron) hit B-Cuts in the 200 IM with a first-place and season-best time of 1:54.68 and the 400 IM with a mark of 4:06.55.
The NCAA Championships will take place March 23-26 at the University of Tennessee, competitors for the meet are typically announced during the first two weeks of March.
