CWRU Athletics

Joe Jordan was named the CWRU Associate Athletic Director for Business Operations, Corporate Sponsorship & Marketing in June 2023.

Jordan oversees the financial management of the department, including budgeting and corporate sponsorships, while also serving as the sports supervisor for cross country, men’s soccer, and women’s basketball.

Jordan comes to CWRU after spending the last six years at the California Institute of Technology, where he was the Assistant Athletic Director for Intercollegiate Teams. His duties there were wide-ranging, including overseeing all athletic facilities, managing the membership program, maintaining the master facility calendar, leads and supports the Operations Team and Equipment Room Staff, among other duties within the department.

Prior to his arrival at Caltech, Jordan worked in the finance department for the Rose Bowl Stadium and in hospitality management for the Los Angeles Dodgers. He spent the previous five years at Eastern Michigan University supporting the women’s basketball team, serving as Director of Basketball Operations for the final three years of his tenure.  He organized all team travel, scheduled facility usage, directed and oversaw summer camps, supervised managerial staff, and was responsible for various administrative duties.

Joe earned his master's degree in Sports Management from Eastern Michigan University after graduating from the school with a bachelor’s degree in education. More recently, Jordan earned a master’s degree in business administration from the University of La Verne in 2021.
