Prior to CWRU

Was a three-year member of the Interlake High School wrestling team, serving as captain his senior year...Coached by Dave Unwin...Went undefeated as a senior and won the district...Placed at regionals as a junior...Named Male Athlete of the Year in 2021...Graduated with both AP and IB diplomas...Also was a member of the football, track and field, and lacrosse teams in high school.
