Went 9-8 during his first year at CWRU, competing exclusively at 157 pounds...Finished season with seven pins and one technical fall...Won first career match and recorded first career pin with win over Jacob Kandis in 4:30 on November 1...Earned first career technical fall over Gvyn McCray 17-2 in 6:03 on November 1...Placed fourth at Mount Union Invite on November 1...Season ended in December due to injury.

Prior to CWRU

Was a four-year member of the Perry High School wrestling team, serving as captain his junior and senior years...Coached by David Rowan, Dan Trentanelli, and Chris Bezzeg...Finished career with 116-53 record, including 38-12 mark as a senior...Placed at district championship three times...Won three conference championships and was named conference MVP once...Qualified for the state individual championship...Helped team reach dual championship state finals all four years...Named to First Team All-CVC as a sophomore, junior, and senior...Received Academic All-Ohio honors as a junior...Also played football in high school.
