Ryan Jones

Ryan Jones joined the CWRU women's soccer staff as an assistant coach prior to the 2023 season. 

Jones brought extensive collegiate and professional playing and coaching experience to the program. During the 2021 and 2022 seasons, he was the director of player development for the women's soccer program at Division I Seattle University. He helped the Redhawks to an 18-14-7 record over the last two seasons and the number two seed in the Western Athletic Conference (WAC) tournament in 2022. In spring 2022, he started as the general manager of TOCA Soccer in Washington, overseeing the execution of all TOCA programs, crossover events, and partnerships.

Prior to his time in the Pacific Northwest, Jones was the Assistant Women's Soccer Coach for two seasons at Division I Murray State University in Murray, Kentucky. While he was with the Racers, the team compiled a 24-13-1 record, won the 2018 Ohio Valley Conference Championship, and appeared in the 2018 NCAA Tournament.

For five months in 2019, Jones worked with Nashville Rhythm F.C., a member of the WPSL, helping the team to a 6-4-2 record.

At the youth level, Jones coached with the Seattle United program from 2020-23. He mentored the U18, U17, U14, and U10 Girls teams and the U15 Boys team. Jones also coached the FC Bucks U16 Boys team in Holland, Pennsylvania.

Jones attended Marywood University, playing soccer for four seasons in Scranton, Pennsylvania. The program record holder for career assists, he was the ECAC South Defensive Player of the Year and a two-time CSAC Player Of the Year, earning selection to the CSAC 25th All-Anniversary Men's Soccer Team. He represented the United States at both the 2013 and 2017 Maccabiah Games, earning gold medals in both appearances.

Following his undergraduate career, Jones signed a professional contract with PS Kemi Kings, then members of the second division of Finnish soccer, played for non-league side Eccleshill United in Bradford, England, and trained with Bradford City, then of the third division of English soccer.

Jones holds a USSF National C license, a NSCAA Goalkeeping 1 license, and a Scottish FA UEFA C license. He is currently studying for the USSF National B license and Wales FA UEFA B license exams.

Jones graduated from Marywood in 2013 with a degree in digital media and earned a master's degree in public relations and strategic communications from Leeds Beckett University in Leeds, England.
